This proposal involved the demolition of an existing restaurant and the creation of a sleek, detached contemporary home located within a Flood Zone 3. We submitted for a change of use on the site & await full planning.

Key features include:

  • Design Considerations: A single-storey flat roof on the side of the building, carefully designed to safeguard the daylight enjoyed by the neighbouring property and adhere to the BRE 25-degree rule.
  • Material Palette: We’ve selected a modern, complementary material palette, with finishes that harmonize with the dark-painted timber cladding of surrounding buildings while maintaining a contemporary edge.
  • Architectural Features: The design also includes a unique perforated black aluminium-clad balcony, adding both aesthetic appeal and functionality to this contemporary home.
  • Flood Risk Management: Given the location within Flood Zone 3, the design also incorporates robust flood mitigation measures, ensuring both safety and resilience.
  • We’re committed to creating spaces that not only look incredible but also respect and enhance their surroundings.
